MUSKOKAN - Two award-winning artists bring their talent to Muskoka this month for “Coalescence” the final installment in the summer show season at Auburn Gallery of Fine Art.
The show features the work of potter Michelle Mendlowitz and multimedia artist Vincente Negrin. Although polar opposites in disciplines, the two have combined to create a harmonious fusion of clay and canvas.
At different stages in their respective careers, the pair are no strangers to the spotlight having each picked up several awards as well as being published in art periodicals across the country. Mendlowitz hails from Toronto and teaches her craft at the Ontario College of Art and Design. Negrin makes his home in Quebec City and runs his studio from Ille de Orleans
The show opens Sept. 22 and runs until Oct. 7. There is an artist’s reception on Sept. 22 from 1 to 3 p.m. All work will be on display at the gallery, 190 Royal Street Gravenhurst.
