Annual Blackfly Ball this Saturday

LAKE OF BAYS - Baysville wants to welcome the arrival of spring and the inevitable blackflies. The second annual Blackfly Ball is taking place this Saturday, April 28, at the Baysville Community Centre.
Dinner, dancing and fun begin are on tap from 6 until 10 p.m. Ticket price is $12, and children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available at the Baysville General Store until today (Friday) or call Richard and Marlene Robinson at 705-767-3000 to reserve yours.
This is a community event sponsored by Bethune United Church. Dinner includes chicken delight, caesar salad, rolls and make-your-own sundaes. There will be lots of great music by Glen Byram with tons of entertainment and prizes.
Dressing in costume is optional but encouraged, with prizes awarded for the King of Baysville and the Belle of the Ball — the crazier the better. Put on a cowboy hat or a blackfly net or whatever and join the fun. Bring your family and prepare to have a great time.
