A day after Doug Csima delivered the first medal for Halton athletes, Sinead Russell kept hopes alive by qualifying for the women’s 200m backstroke final.
Russell swam a 2:08.76 and with a Canadian record of 2:08.04, there is potential to go faster in the final.
Meanwhile, teammate Tera Van Beilen found out she would have at least one more swim, as she was added to the Canadian medley relay team.
