KITCHENER -- Chelsea Aubry, a 10-year veteran of Canada's senior women's basketball team, is finally getting her chance at Olympic glory.

Aubry, 28, helped Canada earn the final Olympic berth at the FIBA World Olympic qualifying tournament in Turkey.

The Kitchener native plays an integral role with the Canadians, serving as a team captain, emotional leader and a physical presence under the boards as a six-foot-two forward for the team.

Aubry, who will help lead Canada to its first Olympic Games appearance since 2000, currently plays for the Bendigo Spirit of the Women's National Basketball League in Australia.
