Mississauga's Katrina Cameron a quick study in rhythmic gymnastics

Part of Canada's first Olympic team in her sport

MISSISSAUGA -- Katrina Cameron switched from artistic gymnastics to rhythmic gymnastics in 2006 and hasn't looked back, winning a bronze medal in the group event at the 2010 Youth Olympics in Singapore.

Cameron, 17, was part of the Canadian team that won an all around group silver medal at the 2011 Pan American Games in Mexico and helped Canada earn its first team Olympic berth in rhythmic gymnastics at the world championships in France.

She is a member of the Kalev Rhythmic Gymnastic Centre and trains in Vaughan with teammates Alexandra Landry, Rose Cossar, Anastasiya Muntyanu, Anjelika Reznik and Kelsey Titmarsh.
