KINGSTON -- Dylan Wykes burst onto the long-distance running scene in 2008, managing one of the fastest marathon debuts in Canadian history at the Fukuoka Marathon.

The Kingston, Ont. native is now set to make his Olympic debut in London this summer, having qualified by running a personal best 2:10:47 at the Rotterdam Marathon in April.

Wykes, who will be 29 by the time of the Olympics, represented Canada in the marathon at the 2009 IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Berlin, Germany, where he placed 33rd, and won the California International Marathon in 2010.
