Optimist Novices reach the end of the line

PARRY SOUND -  The Parry Sound Optimist Novices battled the Bracebridge Bears on Friday, Jan. 29, at the Bobby Orr Community Centre.
The boys were cheered on by a great home crowd. The first goal of the game was scored by Jayden Steele, assisted by Brody Schneider and Carter Corbett. Nych Burniside fired in the second goal assisted by Christopher Quinn. The third goal of the game was scored by Nych Burnside assisted by Jayden Steele and Brody Schneider.
The boys put forth a great effort but in the end they were defeated by the Bears 14-3.
The Parry Sound Optimist novices then faced the Bracebridge team again on Sunday, Jan. 31, in Bracebridge.
The boys played an awesome game, but were unable to get one past the Bears goaltender.
The Optimist Novices ended their playoff round being defeated by the  Bears 6-0. Goaltender Darrin Bloor played a great game, according to team organizers.
