New member takes top spot

Drop-in Data

That was a week of spring weather, but now we’re back to typical winter weather.
Monday bid euchre came up with a great score for Mary Tucker, as she reached 382, to put her up on the winner’s board, where she will likely hold the honour for this whole year. Second place was almost 100 points behind, belonging to Greta Taylor.
Cribbage on Thursday showed the winners to be Vimmy Parr and John Taylor.
Friday afternoon euchre had a good turnout with our newest member, Gail Mayhew taking top spot with 77. Mary Montgomery was next with 73. Bernice Irvine and Audrey Woodard each had five lone hands. Coffee break was enriched with tasty sandwiches donated by Ruby Pavuk.
Friday night bid euchre had a magnetic table that kept Helen Crawford attached to it for the night, but she won the big sucker award. Fred Kaunsinger was high scorer, with 287 and Joyce Vaughan, 265.
Thee will be a potluck lunch on February 10, starting at 11:30 a.m.
Our Rama trip is on Tuesday, Feb. 16, leaving the Parry Sound Mall at 1:30 p.m. offering a free all you can eat roast beef dinner. For reservations call Joen at 746-5338.
February 20 is square dance time with music by Third Change Band.
