PARRY SOUND - With the U10 team at home Monday night, the U16 Gordon Bay Marine team took to the road where they finished a two game home and away series with South Simcoe United’s North team.
After losing the home game by a close score of 3-2.
Gordon Bay Marine were looking for three points, but came up short in what was a highly entertaining 1-0 win for SSU's home side.
Monday night, the Frank Penfold Construction U10 team, faced another tough test in the Bradford U10s.
The boys started off with a lot of determination and held the game scoreless for a majority of the first half until Bradford was finally able to beat goalkeeper Brody Schneider. Parry Sound had a few brief offensive pushes lead by Joey Green and Jayden Steele.
In the second half, Bradford continued its pressure on the Parry Sound goal but, the boys were finally able to put together some excellent scoring chances.
Jayden made an excellent run, dribbling the defense and taking the ball wide to beat the Bradford goalie.
The end result was 6-1 for Bradford. Player of the game was Brody.
Next game is Sunday 11 a.m., versus South Simcoe at the Kinsmen field.
