Regular euchre tournament
My thanks go out to all of you who supported our euchre tournament, the 26th that I have convened.
It’s people like you who come out to these club events, contributing to your club activities, that keeps us able to meet our financial commitments. It was a great fundraiser for our club.
When I came in at 8:30 a.m. Mary Gwen Lawson was already here.
Soon we were joined by Moldred Tait, Judy Grant, Gail Donnelly, Marilyn Hurd, and Joanne, preparing your lunch.
You did a great job ladies.
Thanks also to Ida Cameron, Jean Pickles, Julie Tarcea, Rudy Pavyk, Oscar Standish and the members who donated loaves and articles for the draw table, especially the hand knit afghan by Bernice Irvine.
After 15 games of play the big money winners were: First, Roy Stoddard with 113 points; and second, Shirley Zummach and Bob O’Callaghan with 111 points. Most lone hands was Bev English with six.
The highest count made in one game was 14.
