It’s nice to have most of our snowbirds back with us, especially Mr. Timbits. Monday bid euchre came up with a first-time winner this year as Doris Gregoire had top count of 330. In second place it was Rita Nelson with 327. Only one moonshot was made and that was by Ralph Wye.
The cribbage winners were Ursula Muckenheim and Bob Daigle, but no scores were recorded. Friday afternoon euchre gave Bob Daigle 80 and Dorothy Tennant 79. Don Johnson made six lone hands.
Friday night bid euchre scores didn’t quite make it to 300, with Oscar Standish having 298 and Don Lockhart, 290. Loly Cummings won the travel prize.
We are going to miss Dot Johnson, one of our great volunteers. Do will be having treatments for six weeks. We’ll really miss your egg salad sandwiches you often treated us to. Get well wishes from all of us go out to you.
We are also missing that ever-smiling face of Mary Montgomery who is recuperating in hospital from a fall.
Thanks to the town for the new bench outside our building, replacing the old, slivery wooden on.
This Thursday we are having a regular euchre tournament, starting at 10:30 a.m. with big money prizes. Our next Rama trip is Tuesday, May 15.
