PARRY SOUND - It was a successful year for the Parry Sound-based snow-cross team, Team Bowman Racing.
Despite the lack of snow, the Bowman siblings Nicholas, 20, and Emmie-Lee, 21, attended eight CSRA-sanctioned snow-cross races throughout Ontario and Quebec this past winter.
Nick (pro-lite racer #440) raced in the strongest division in the circuit. Every weekend he raced against 24 talented men. His consistency and brute-strength made him the only pro-lite to podium in all four semi-pro divisions; including the championship in regional pro-lite open.
Emmie’s (trailsport woman racer #220) first year of racing turned out to be a successful one. She captured the championship for her division.
