OPP to hire dispatchers/call takers in new year

The OPP will be looking to hire dispatchers and call takers early in the new year.
The police service is hosting its first Provincial Communications Centres Symposium on Feb. 4 and 5 in North Bay, where 25 participants can explore civilian job opportunities with the OPP.
“During the symposium, in-depth presentations and on-location tours of the North Bay Provincial Communications Centre, North East Region Headquarters, Forensic Identification Services facility and North Bay Detachment will provide a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at frontline and specialized policing services,” said OPP Sgt. Kristine Rae in a release.
