Thank you, Idle No More supporters

Re: Global day of action in Parry Sound.
It was an incredible day! We would like to take this opportunity to exclaim our appreciation of the support shown for the Idle No More Global Day of Action event for Parry Sound and area.
Despite cold wind and rain, at least 115 people of all ages; hand drummers, dancers, elders, church ministers, educators, local media, artists, local politicians; all from Parry Sound, Wasauksing, and other neighbouring communities walked together in solidarity for social and environmental justice on January 11, 2013.
It was a tremendous turnout. It was tremendous Idle No More spirit.
Miigwech to Gzaagin Art Gallery for the beautiful space, John Rice for acknowledging the territory in which we live upon, students of Wasauksing Kinomagewgamik, the safety support from our local OPP  police liaison and officers, the incredible people who chose to walk with us and create awareness upon this territory, Maunda Pegahmagabow for the soup that warmed us all up and the staff of the Parry Sound Friendship Centre.
We will be idle no more. The Vision of Idle no More revolves around Indigenous Ways of knowing rooted in Indigenous sovereignty to protect water, air, land and all creation for future generations.

Miigwech from the organizers.
