Concerned over last election

In the First World War, my father lost two brothers in their early 20s. My uncle lost a young son and a young grandson. In the Second World War, my mother had a brother who fought in Normandy and a brother was was a Hong Kong prisoner of war. Both suffered post-traumatic stress.
In the Korean War, my brother, Jim, served and suffered post-traumatic stress. Therefore, because of this family history, I am quite concerned about questions in our last election.
Serious questions concerning our democracy: Who are Elections Canada responsible to? Who hires Elections Canada?
What has become of all the Robo Calls on election day? Do they affect the election outcome? How many ridings were affected? Are the RCMP still investigating the source of these calls? Are the RCMP still investigating other problems, re: voting in some ridings? Do we protect the democratic process enough in Canada? We are the watchdog for elections in other countries. Did our Canadians are are our Canadians not risking their lives and dying for democracy?
