Dear Editor... It is sad to see on garbage days, litter all along the road, particularly in the countryside. There is a simple way to alleviate this problem.
Place a sheet or old blanket over your garbage when you put it out. This will keep the birds, which are the main culprits, away from it. They won’t go near it.
The garbage men are well aware of this trick and they will leave your blanket behind with your empty bin. It really works: try it and it will save messes.
