We are certainly have a taste of fall weather, but let’s not complain after that perfect summer.
Monday had a full house of bid euchre players, giving Bev English top count of 295 and Glen Fretz, 288. Bev also won the travel prize. Vimmy Par made her eighth moonshot.
Cribbage
Thursday cribbage showed Sue Land with 951 and Mabel Harris 946.
Friday afternoon euchre came up with a tie for top spot at 76 for Maggie Haldenby and Roxanne Morrison.
Helen Crawford made seven lone hands. The hidden score was 66, held by Ed Morden.
The records show that our top players with the most wins are Hugh Green and Dorothy Tennant.
Friday night bid euchre gave a nice high count of 326 to Herb Jeckell and 312 to Oscar Standish. Brigitte won the travel prize. Maria Jeckell made her first two moonshots of the year.
Our Rama trip this month is on Tuesday, Sept. 18.
We are hosting a bid euchre tournament on Thursday, Sept. 20 starting at 10:30 a.m., with big money prizes of $100 for first prize. For registration call Joen at 746-5338.
Don’t forget our USCO luncheon at noon and meeting at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
