HUNTSVILLE - Huntsville OPP are hoping the public can help them say “gotcha” to someone who stole a vehicle in town sometime overnight on Friday.
Police received a report from a Huntsville resident who had left his blue/grey four-door 1999 Toyota Tercel in the parking lot located behind Main Street on West Street North at about 8 p.m. on Thursday.
When the owner went out to his vehicle just after 7 a.m. Friday, he discovered it missing.
Officers found that the keys were left in the console of the vehicle and doors were left unlocked. The vehicle is noted to be in bad shape with an Ontario marker BHDK 482 attached to the vehicle along with a sticker on the back window saying “GOTCHA.”
Huntsville OPP report that the car was discovered Saturday abandoned on Peacock Bay Road.
Anyone with any information about the theft of this motor vehicle is asked to contact Huntsville OPP at 705-789-5551 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
