Suspected burglar busted with help from public

WHITESTONE TWP. - Seasonal property owners can breathe a little easier.
Police have arrested a man believed to be behind a string of crimes in the region. Following a report of a break and enter in Whitestone, West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police were put on the trail of a man they say had attempted or succeeded to gain illegal entry to four different seasonal residences.
Police were able to identify a suspicious vehicle in the area at the time of the break ins as a result of information received from the public. On March 13 they spoke with the owner of that vehicle.
Aaron Joseph James Schiffert, 25, of Whitestone Township is charged with four counts of break and enter a place with intent to commit an indictable offense and one count of break and enter a place  and commit an indictable offense.
