Well today it looks like spring is just around the corner - bright and sunny on this Wednesday morning.
We would like to take this time to thank all those people who came out to enjoy our first dinner/dance evening we were thrilled to see everyone enjoy themselves.
There will be another dinner/dance evening on March 16, same band, different dinner menu; hopefully the same people out to enjoy. Dinner runs from 6 to 7 p.m., dance from 8 to midnight.
Dinner menu
Our dinner menu for this week will be a homemade beef stew for St. Patrick’s Day served with a salad and a homemade tea biscuit and of course dessert. The cooks for this month will be Joyce and Frank along with their helpers.
The dinner and dance together is $15 and the dinner alone is $11, and the dance alone is $5 and the tickets for this event are now on sale at the bar during bar hours from 2 to 6 p.m. at the bar only.
Sorry, our secretary does not have a cash float in order to make change for ticket purchases.
Only 80 tickets will be sold for the dinner, so come in early if you want to assure yourself a dinner ticket.
We are pleased to say the band for this event will be the Country Tradition, the same as last month, with old time country music and singing and of course square dance music and calling.
They sure put out the music and it is a pleasure to listen to it, even if you don’t dance the night away.
On April 27, we will be holding another dinner, dance evening, so watch for upcoming news.
Other events are as usual, wing nights on Friday nights, jam session this month is on Sunday, March 10 beginning at 1 p.m. Once again there is good old time music and singers and of course dancing. Come in and see what your local musicians can produce; I am sure you will be happy with the results. Fries are available for purchase as well for $2 an order.
Hoping to see you come in and have a good time. Remember too, that the legion is open to the public; pool tables are available downstairs, along with dartboards.
So if you have some free time, why not come in and see what we have to offer, you might be quite pleasantly surprised.
