It’s a short week for students this week with no school Friday, heading into March Break. I hope the weather is good and everyone enjoys their vacation.
Remember to watch out for the little ones (and not so little) as they are out and about next week.
The Whitestone Hagerman Memorial Library has a number of events planned for the March break. March 12 is movie night, starting at 6 p.m.; March 16 is the St. Patrick’s Day story hour starting at 10 a.m. The regular hours of operation are as follows: Tuesdays from 12-8; Wednesdays from 12-5; Thursdays from 10-5 and Saturdays from 12-5.
The Whitestone Recreation Committee is having March Break Madness March 11-15 daily at 2 p.m. in the Dunchurch Community Centre. All area youth are invited to come out.

The meat draw results for Saturday, March 2, are as follows: Phyllis Sands – ground beef; Stan Clelland – chicken breast and pork butt chops; Sheila Robson – beef roast; Beverly Church – Farmers sausage; Kevin Crossman – ground beef and pork butt roast; Josh Robson – roasting chicken; Jean Kingston – bacon; Bob Lockwood – T-bone steak.
The next meat draw is Saturday, March 16, at 4 p.m. right after euchre.
The Dunchurch Exercise Club is not meeting tonight but will meet again next Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Dunchurch Community Centre. The cost is $3 per person and everyone is welcome to attend.
The next meeting of the Whitestone council is March 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Dunchurch Community Centre.
