Family Day celebrations will commence at the Dunchurch Community Centre on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 2 to 6 p.m. The Whitestone Recreation Committee invites you to come out for some skating, tobogganing, snow games and afternoon entertainment. They will be serving free hot chocolate, apple cider, coffee and tea. For sale to attendees is chili, hot dogs, pop and water. Everyone is welcome and there will be a vintage snowmobile display, something for the whole family.
The Dunchurch Exercise Club is meeting Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. in the Dunchurch Community Centre. The cost is $3 per person; it’s a great way to get or stay in shape and meet like-minded people trying to be healthier in 2013.
A fitness class with a trainer will be held this Saturday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. in the Dunchurch Community Centre. The price for February is an $8 drop in fee and all levels of fitness are welcome. It can help you lose weight, gain flexibility, build confidence, relieve stress, increase muscular strength and get a healthier body.

The Whitestone Parents Association has started a bursary award for a WLCS student graduating from Parry Sound High School. This is an annual award for a student continuing a post-secondary education that has been an active member of our community. A well-rounded student with volunteer hours and extracurricular activities not just grades will be considered.
