PARRY SOUND - Residents are going to have to go elsewhere for many of their shopping needs today.
The rainy weather has caused the Parry Sound Mall to be closed due to safety concerns. Excess water led to wet floors within the mall.
The rain and warmer weather have created some slippery conditions at the Parry Sound Mall and as a result it has been closed.
James Gray, vice president of commercial properties with Winchester Real Estate, said the building doesn't require any significant repairs and they plan to be open Thursday.
"There's just some water on the floor that we had some safety concerns with so we decided just to shut the mall for the day," said Gray. "Don't want anyone slipping and falling."
The rain and slush on the roof led to water flowing into the building. All stores at the mall are presently closed. The ATM at the RBC Royal Bank remains accessible.
