Muskoka Lakes mayor is contemplating donning her neoprene leggings for another polar bear dip at this year’s Winterfest.
The Port Carling Lion’s Club is making plans along with its community partners for the 46th annual Winterfest on the first weekend in February
Any fundraising done by the township at the event will go toward the Muskoka Lakes nursing station, which has the mayor eyeing her wet suit again.
“It was really great,” she said, referring to last year’s dip. “I did have neoprene leggings on, but that’s it. Would I do it without the neoprene leggings? I don’t know.”
The mayor is encouraging other councillors to join her in Muskoka’s frigid winter waters.
