Seguin News

The Early Years Programs in Seguin continue at three locations for your convenience  at the Humphrey Community Centre on Monday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., at the Rosseau Memorial Hall on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and at the Community Centre in Orrville on Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.  
This is a free program for children up to 6 years of age and their parents, caregivers and grandparents.
They offer toys, art, healthy snacks, social interaction, circle time, workshops, science, math and many learning experiences.  The Early Years Program runs from September through June and is closed on school holidays and if the school buses are cancelled.

Skating and pizza party
Please note that the Early Years will be holding a skating and pizza party at the Humphrey Community Centre on Monday, Nov. 19 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.  Skating will take place from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and dinner will run from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.  Children can play and make a Home Depot kit.  
Open to all children 0-6 years of age and their families.

Annual general meeting
Mark Monday, Nov. 26 on your calendar for the annual general meeting of the Foley Agricultural Society. Meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at the Agricultural Hall 60 Rankin Lake Road. All members (if you exhibit in the Fair you are a member) are urged to attend.  Refreshments will be served.
Line dancing continues at the Foley Agricultural Hall every Thursday night from 7:30 to 9 p.m. And the Seguin Guitar Club continues every Monday night at 7 p.m.

Next Rosseau Movie Night is Friday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Rosseau Memorial Hall with the movie The Dark Knight Rises.  Cost is only $5 a person or $2.50 if you show your Seguin library card or your Lake Rosseau North Association membership.  
Watch for Diary of a Wimpy Kid – 3 Dog Days on Friday, Nov.23.  Everyone is welcome!
Very special happy birthday wishes for this Saturday, Nov. 3 to our wonderful granddaughter Sarah Coles, who will have 15 candles on her cake.  Have a great day and a super year.

Don’t forget to drop into the Humphrey library on Wednesday, Oct. 31 and say so long to librarian Ruth Smith and CEO  Arvind Singh and wish them well on their next venture!  
New books on the shelves this week include:  at Humphrey, Father Night by Eric Lustbader and Panther by Nelson DeMille at Christie library.
