A Bramalea man was found dead by police over the weekend after falling into a Gravenhurst lake.
On Sunday, Oct. 21, the OPP confirmed they had found the body of 24-year-old Aaron Inches after an extensive two-day search on Muldrew Lake. Police were called to the lake Saturday shortly before 10 p.m., when they received a report that a young man had slipped and fallen about 20 feet down a rock face and into the water.
The OPP’s marine unit and firefighters joined in a search for the man.
The next morning, the OPP’s underwater search and recovery unit scoured the lake and found the missing man’s body.
“A short time later they located the body of the missing male,” said OPP Const. Derek Wickett. “The coroner has attended the scene and a post-mortem will be conducted to determine cause of death.”
Police were still investigating the cause of death at press time.
