HUNTSVILLE - Despite no official confirmation, Tourism Whistler announced Thursday they will be the next hosts of Ironman Canada on Aug. 25, 2013.
They made their announcement on their website, but it was promptly taken down with no further comments. There is still no official word on which of the competing communities has won the right to host the event, or whether an actual decision has been made.
Huntsville as well as Kelowna, BC. are also in the running.
UPDATE: The World Triathlon Corporation has announced that Whistler will be the new host for the Ironman Canada races.
