GRAVENHURST - The search for a full-time fire chief may be coming to a close.
Mayor Paisley Donaldson said the town interviewed a number of good candidates in the past month and is currently in negotiations with one to take on the post.
“There was a good response, we’re happy with the talent we had to choose from,” she said.
“These things (negotiations) take some time, but we do hope to have an announcement shortly, hopefully here before the end of the month (September).”
