PARRY SOUND - The West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a 911 call to the Seguin Trail in Seguin Township on Sunday, Aug. 12 at 1:39 p.m. regarding a collision between two All Terrain Vehicles (ATV).

OPP, Parry Sound EMS, and Seguin firefighters attended the scene of the collision to assist injured parties and conduct an investigation.
Information received indicated that two westbound ATV’s travelling single file along the Seguin Trail encountered a lone eastbound ATV approximately 1 km east of the Horseshoe Lake Road entrance to the trail.
The lead westbound ATV and eastbound ATV collided at a blind curve along the trail resulting in both riders being ejected from their vehicles. One rider’s helmet is believed to have come off as a result of the impact.
An 18-year-old male of North York, was transported to the West Parry Sound Health Centre with non-life threatening injuries. A 21-year-old male of Barrie, ON, was air lifted to a Toronto hospital with serious injuries.
No charges have been laid and the investigation is continuing.
