Classic Car and Antique Boat show Saturday in Rosseau

St. Thomas Anglican Church, # 1256 Highway 518, Orrville invites you to the annual Bake Sale & Gently Used  Treasures Sale on Saturday, Aug. 4 from 8 a.m. to 12 Noon.
For those long time Orrville residents, please note that Cliff Janes (who operated the Orrville General Store for many years) passed away on July 17.  Sympathy is extended to his wife Barb.
Make sure you come out this Saturday, August 4 for the 2nd Annual Seguin Pioneer UC (Orrville) Pancake Breakfast at the Orrville Community Centre.  Starting time is 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.  There will be buttermilk and blueberry pancakes, fresh fruit, tea, and coffee. Adults are $8, children aged 4 to 12 - $3, and toddlers eat for free.
Also this Saturday, Aug. 4 is the Classic Car & Antique Boat Show at the Rosseau Waterfront.
There will be food, music, trophies and displays as well as cruises of Lake Rosseau on the “Peerless II” at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.  Admission to this event is by donation and there will be a shuttle bus from the village down to the waterfront. Next movie night at the Rosseau Memorial Hall is on Monday, Aug. 6 with The Lucky On.  Movie starts at 7 p.m. and cost is only $5 a person or $2.50 with your Seguin Library card or your Lake Rosseau North Association membership card.  Everyone  welcome. Coming up on Monday, Aug. 13 is the movie Goon.
In spite of the weather being so hot, Fall Fair time is right around the corner!  The first Fair in our area will be the Dunchurch Fall Fair Friday & Saturday, August 17 and 18, Be sure to check it out!  Then the 137th Rosseau Fall Fair comes upon Saturday, Aug. 25.
Lots of family fun for everyone, so make sure you catch the parade and then join in all the activities at the fairgrounds and field house.  
The Foley Fall Fair and Horse Show will be coming up on August 31 and September 1.  Friday night entertainment in the bandshell is Muskoka Roads. Horse show starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Mutt show at 11 a.m. and horseshoes also start at 11 a.m. Tractor pull starts at 2 p.m.
This year a new kids play area will be available for the little ones in the old bingo hall area. Midway, food, concessions, Abe the Clown, lots to see and do for the whole family.  Check the website at www.foleyagriculturalsociety.ca and we’ll see you at the fair!
