Bracebridge man $50k richer

BRACEBRIDGE - Three words — helpful, dragon and bear — were just some of the words that helped Bracebridge resident David Stokes cash in on a $50,000 payday.
The 63-year-old won the hefty prize after revealing the words on his Instant Crossword ticket. The winning ticket was purchased at Harry’s Mart on Wellington Street.
Stokes had gone home to scratch the ticket, and went back to the store to validate his win without even knowing how much he had won.
“The cashier handed me the validation slip and I began jumping up and down screaming with excitement,” he said.
The self-employed husband and father of three said he plans to share the fortune with his kids.
