Friends of Foley Library hosts Ten Mile Yard Sale

Don’t forget that Line Dancing happens every Thursday at the Foley Agricultural Hall starting at 7:30 and running until 9 p.m.

Cost is only a loonie.  Everyone is welcome! Please note that there won’t be any line dancing on Thursday, May 31 .
Guitar club
And the Seguin Guitar Club continues to meet every Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the agricultural hall.  Bring your guitar and enthusiasm and have some fun.  Check the Ag. Society’s web site at www.foleyagriculturalsociety.ca  for information, events and programs.
Ten Mile Yard Sale
The Friends of Foley Library will host their 2nd annual Ten Mile Yard Sale coming up on Saturday, June 9 starting at 7 a.m.  In conjunction with this event, the Seguin Pioneer (Otter Lake) United Church will hold a pancake breakfast along with a bake, book and craft sale and a sale of gently used items.
 If you are interested in having your own yard sale and would like to be on the Map, please call the Foley library at 705-378-0742.  
Make sure you purchase your map (for $2) so you don’t miss any yard sales happening that day!
Early Years
The Humphrey Early Years will be holding their yard sale as part of the Ten Mile Yard Sale at #60 Rankin Lake Rd. in the Foley Agricultural building!
A big congratulations to all the 295 McPherson Squadron Air Cadets who received awards and promotions on Sunday, May 27 at the annual Awards Banquet!  Way to go!
Movie night
Next movie night in Rosseau will be Friday, June 8 with the feature – A Monster in Paris.  Movie starts at 7 p.m. on the upper level of the Rosseau Memorial Hall.  The cost is only $5 a person or $2.50 if you present your Rosseau Lake North Association membership card or your Seguin library card.  A Cat in Paris will be the feature on Friday June 22nd.  Everyone is welcome!

New books on the shelves include: at Christie – Beach House Memories by Mary Alice Monroe, Stolen Prey ( a Lucas Davenport mystery) by John Sandford and Sins of the Father by Jeffrey Archer; at Humphrey – Beautiful Sacrifice by Elizabeth Lowell and Stolen Prey by John Sandford; at Rosseau – Stolen Prey by John Sandford and Beautiful Sacrifice by Elizabeth Lowell.
Computer funding
Have you sent a letter to Industry Canada regarding the fact they are ending the funding which assist libraries with keeping their public access computers running?  
All libraries in Seguin have letters printed for you to sign and send.  If you appreciate using our computers with no charge, please consider sending a letter with copies to your MP and your MPP.  This is a very important issues for all libraries involved in the Computer Access Program.
