The Whitestone Horticulture Society is holding a general meeting Wednesday, May 2 at 7 p.m. in the Dunchurch Community Centre.
Guest speakers Al and Lesley Last will be talking about photography with the members. Everyone is welcome to attend. Membership is $7 per year, so come as a guest and you may leave as a member. If you have any seedlings started then bring some in to exchange with other members.
The Whitestone Historical Society has a set of three DVDs available, which consist of an extensive collection of historical pictures of Dunchurch with audio commentary. If you are interested in obtaining this DVD set please contact Goldie Ladd at 705-389-1998.

Cribbage results for Thursday, April 26 are as follows: Bob Kant with six wins and 113 points; second, Bill Church with four wins and 328 points; third, Viola Bresolin with four wins and 324 points.
Euchre results for Saturday, April 28 are as follows: First, Marg Shamess with 76; second, Julie Gibson with 73; and lone hands, Bob Gibson and Dodie Stewart with four each.
The next meat draw is this Saturday, May 5 at 4 p.m. right after euchre.

Progressions of Life series
On Wednesday, May 9 in the Dunchurch Community Centre the Progressions of Life series, a part of the Women’s Wellness program, is presenting a talk on nutritional values.
The presentation starts at 7 p.m. and cost is $3 per person or $5 per couple and everyone is welcome to attend.
