OPP seek public's help in finding Huntsville man

MUSKOKA – Police are asking residents to be on the lookout for a 26-year-old local man in connection with an arrest warrant.
Huntsville OPP report they are looking for John Merkel of Huntsville. He is believed to be somewhere in the Muskoka area.
Huntsville will not disclose more information on the matter, according to information from Const. Lynda Cranney, the community/media relations officer for the Huntsville OPP.
Police are asking that if anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Merkel to contact the OPP immediately by dialing 1-888-310-1122. Should anyone have information and want to remain anonymous they can also call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). If an arrest is made, the caller could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
