Couple arrested for fraud

MUSKOKA LAKES - Police have arrested a Windermere couple for over $200,000 worth of fraud.
OPP Const. Jim Reading said the pair were arrested on March 29, after officers from the Bracebridge detachment and the Muskoka Area Crime Unit began investigating theft and fraud at a Muskoka Lakes business.
Katherine Ann Murray, 44, is facing charges of fraud, identity fraud, false pretences, forgery, possession of property obtained by crime and ten counts of theft. Ewan Moore Murray, 49, is facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime and three counts of theft.
Ewan Murray was released after being charged and is to appear in court on May 1. Katherine Murray was held without bail and was scheduled to appear in court on April 10.
