Drugs, gun seized in Moose Deer Point bust

Five people from the Moose Deer Point First Nation have been arrested after a bust recovered a semi-automatic rifle and a stockpile of drugs.
Cops made the arrests after executing two search warrants and conducting a vehicle traffic stop. They recovered a Remington 30-06 semi-automatic rifle with ammunition, over three pounds of marijuana, 18 Oxycodone tablets, 161 Tylenol 3 tablets, 13 Tylenol 4 tablets, a hydro morphine tablet, four digital scales, two cell phones and other drug paraphernalia.
The bust was a joint effort between police from the Bracebridge OPP, the West Parry Sound Crime Unit, the OPP Community Drug Action team, the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau Drug Enforcement Unit, the OPP Emergency Response Team and the OPP canine unit.
Three people, whose ages range from 21 to 51, have each been charged with a single charge of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking. A 52-year-old has been charged with two drug possession for the purpose of trafficking charges and one breach of firearm regulation.
A fifth person, another 52-year-old, is facing a single charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one breach of firearm regulation. A sixth person was released by police unconditionally.
The five people charged have since been released also, but are scheduled to appear in a Bracebridge court on February 19.
