Now that we are almost into November it is time for the snowbirds to be heading south. I notice that a lot of my feather birds have already gone. Therefore, since I am one of those snowbirds I will leave you with two cute emails I have received.
Middle age is the time when you finally get your head together, then your body starts falling apart.
I am rich. Silver in my hair gold in my teeth, crystals in my kidneys, sugar in my blood, lead in my butt, iron in my arteries and an inexhaustible supply of natural gas. I never thought I would accumulate such wealth. Enjoy your winter, hope it is a good one.
Now for the reason for this article: bid euchre was played on Sunday, Oct. 21 and the winners were: first Ken Woehl 319; second, Evelyn Phipps, 298; and third, Pauline Jack 273. Don Bosley won the call “l”. Share the wealth was won by Irene Bosley and Autumn Shane. Moonshots were made by Robert Gibson, Irene Bosley, Evelyn Phipps, Tom Phipps, Norma Johnson, and Joy Warnholtz (two).
The trips to Rama this month are November 5 and November 30.
Niagara Falls trip
The trip to Niagara Falls is full, but there will be one scheduled for the month of December. There are a couple of seats left for the shop until you drop trip to Erie Pennsylvania. Any information you wish on trips contact Mary Ann Beck at 705-389-2899 or 705-389-2512.
There will be no bid euchre on November 4, but there will be cards on November 11. Please note that this is a potluck.
The list is out now for signing up for the Christmas dinner to be held on Sunday, Dec. 9. starting at 4 p.m. This is for members only. Please bring a donation for the food bank which we have done previous years. Your support has always been tremendous.
Also, remember there is a craft and bake sale at the McKellar Community Hall on Saturday, Nov. 10.
