The Pines Long-Term Care Residence has the most satisfied residents in Ontario according to a recent satisfaction survey.
The Pines is one of 630 long-term care homes in Ontario required to survey residents or family members on their satisfaction of the care delivered at the home.
The average feedback from municipal long-term homes is 94-95 per cent satisfaction each year.
The Pines scored 100 per cent — again.
Rick Williams, commissioner of community services for the District of Muskoka, reported that no other municipal home has ever reported 100 per cent satisfaction.
“I think our resident and family satisfaction scores are the envy of the other 629 homes,” Williams said.
The Pines has received 100 per cent every year since it started in 2008 with the exception of 2010 when it scored 98 per cent.
This year the survey results were based on 59 surveys that were returned out of 160 that were delivered to residents and families.
