Police seize $1,300 worth of pot

A police raid at a building in central Bracebridge has taken $1,300 worth of drugs out of the community.

The raid was announced by police in a release on Sunday, Aug. 5. Officers from the street crime unit and the OPP central north drug unit had executed a warrant on an address on Spencer Street in Bracebridge and seized over three ounces of marijuana.

“In addition, officers seized three digital weigh scales, packaging materials, a debt list and a cellular telephone,” said OPP Const. Jim Reading.

Police have charged 49-year-old Garnet Greer of Bracebridge with possession of marijuana for the purposes of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

Greer will appear in a Bracebridge court on Sept. 11.
