SEGUIN TWP. - West Parry Sound OPP Marine Unit is continuing to investigate a collision between a boat and a Sea-Doo.
At 11:50 a.m. on Saturday, West Parry Sound OPP Marine Unit, EMS and the Seguin Fire Department were called to the scene of a crash on Lake Joseph.
An investigation determined that the Sea-Doo, driven by a 23-year-old man from Oakville was following a boat driven by his 55-year-old father with five other family members inside.
The Sea-Doo driver lost control after jumping the boat’s wake and landed inside the boat. Speed and the close proximity of the two crafts was the cause of the accident. Alcohol was not involved.
The driver of the boat received minor injuries and was transported to the West Parry Sound Health Centre for treatment. The other passengers of the boat were unharmed.
The West Parry Sound OPP Marine unit continues its investigation.
