Accident shut down Hiram Street

BRACEBRIDGE - BRACEBRIDGE - Hiram Street was briefly shut down in the heart of downtown Bracebridge on Wednesday, June 6 after a vehicle accident occurred shortly after 4 p.m.
Police cordoned off access to the street from Taylor Road near Manitoba Street as paramedics arrived on scene.
A motorcycle was involved in the accident. A black sedan could be seen surrounded by several police vehicles in the aftermath of the incident.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with a broken leg and 61-year-old Warren Tompkins of Bracebridge was charged with failing to yield.
