Riverside Inn now offering long-term accommodations

The Muskoka Riverside Inn is making a change.
The Bracebridge hotel located at the corner of Ecclestone Drive and Wellington Street is now offering long-term accommodations in addition to its regular hotel rooms. The service is designed for cottagers looking for a winter home or for professionals who need a temporary place to stay.
Don McGillis, manager at the Riverside Inn, said this is an untapped market in the area.
“Cottagers with places that aren’t winterized can come in November and stay until April until the cottages can be opened again,” McGillis said. “We have a model suite done now.”
With an introductory price starting at $2,400 a month, the renter will have an all-inclusive accommodation that includes meals, phone, cable, Wi-Fi and access to a fitness centre and pool.
“There’s no hydro bill to pay. No taxes to pay. Everything is covered. We do include breakfast and dinner in it. We’re also the bus station so we’ve got security and there is phone service 24 hours a day,” said McGillis.
They expect to convert 10 to 12 rooms into the long-term units out of the 54 units that are currently used as hotel rooms. Long-term rooms will differ from regular hotel rooms primarily in that they will contain a kitchenette and have hardwood flooring.
