The driver of this vehicle was extricated with the jaws of life by the Britt and Area Fire Department and air lifted to Health Science Centre in Sudbury Wednesday after a transport truck crossed the centre line, striking the side of one vehicle before hitting the one shown, sending it into the ditch.

At approximately 5 p.m. on Wednesday the Britt and Area Fire Department was called to a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 69 at Bon Air Road just south of the French River Bridge. A police investigation determined that a commercial vehicle travelling southbound crossed the centre line and collided with two northbound vehicles.
A driver of one of the vehicles was air lifted to Sudbury, the female passenger was also taken to Sudbury, by ambulance. Driver and passenger from another vehicle were transported to the West Parry Sound Health Centre. The driver of the commercial vehicle was uninjured. The highway was closed for a number of hours, opening at 12:30 a.m. Thursday. The cause of the collision is under investigation, and no charges have been laid.
