There were two very close games on the early draw, right to the last rock on the eighth end, the kind of game that’s great to be playing and super to watch.
It was heather Fisher versus Sandra Villeneuve, the score 5-4 at half time for Heather.
These first four ends had a slew of rocks out front of the circle. Heather was two up going home without the chamber, but Sandra was only able to get one point, giving the win to Heather, Shannon Mahon, Erin Axt and Mandy Vankoughnett.
The other good game was between Sue Smith and Julie Truscott, with the score of 4-2 for Sue at half time.
In the first four ends Julie’s rink couldn’t find their weight, then in the fourth, Julie was facing four and made a beautiful draw shot to count one.
The in end five, Sue was looking to give Julie a big four ender, then it was 6-6 with Julie, Joanne And Cheri Siden getting the win.
In the Trudie Johnson versus Marian McIsaac game it was Trudie, Laura Thompson, Deanna Jackson and Marilyn Hall having little difficulty for their big win.
The last sheet had Nanci Beers versus Renee Belisle with Nanci Louise Krause and Lorrie Kerr in full control for the win.
The late draw only had three sheets with only one good game played, that being the Liz Sims versus Marie Dunne, with it 4-2 with Liz leading 4-2 mid way, to go on for the win with Bev Webb, Robin Galbraith and Barb Atkinson.
In the Sue Shadd versus Trudy Orr game, Trudy, Sally Coomber and Beth McIsaac only gave up one point for a fast win.
In the Laurie Robinson versus Shelly Van Erp game, a big reverse play took place. Last week Audrey Milligan, Heidi Stevenson and Wendy Schroeder took a big six ender in their game, but this week the six ender was against them, as Laurie, Cece Barks, Erin Walker and Kari Barks claimed the win in only four ends.
