PARRY SOUND - The West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police is looking to community partners for information to help solve a recent crime.
Sometime between Monday June 4, at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, June 5, at 8 a.m. unknown suspects forcibly entered a business property on Highway 124 in McDougall Township. Several OPP members were involved in the investigation and a forensic identification officer from the North Bay Forensic Identification Unit assisted in gathering evidence at the scene.
Damages to the building are estimated at $300. A Nikon D90 digital camera and accessories worth $1,500 were reported stolen.

Operation Corridor 2012
With Operation Corridor 2012 wrapping up on June 15, OPP has released the results of this 24-hour initiative that targeted aggressive commercial drivers and unsafe commercial vehicles.
Over the course of the province-wide campaign, OPP and Ministry of Transportation officers laid 372 charges throughout Ontario. During the campaign, 68 speeding charges were laid, 193 equipment charges and 89 commercial vehicles were taken out of service due to equipment issues or hours of service violations by the OPP and MTO officers.
Operation Corridor is an annual province-wide commercial vehicle road safety initiative that focuses on high visibility, enforcement and education strategies on highways and roads. The 24-hour initiative ran from 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14 to 6 a.m. on Wednesday June 15.
