HUNTSVILLE - The Huntsville Ron Pratt Electric under-14 boys’ soccer team found a challenge at the Challenge Cup in Peterborough this past weekend. They battled against West Rouge Storm who were playing a division below their usual competition level and suffered a 7-0 loss against this very strong team. Despite this difficult beginning they played a much more even game with many scoring chances against Peterborough City. The 2-0 loss doesn’t represent the heart that they brought into this second game. On Sunday they competed against Darlington Storm who caught the boys early in the first half with three quick goals. Huntsville came back early in the second half with a goal scored by Quinn Thompson. It was great to be on the board but it wasn’t enough to even the score which ended in a 4-1 loss. Despite this challenging tournament the boys played with determination. The competition was fierce but the tournament provided a great experience for hard work and persistence.
