On Saturday, Sept. 9 David Bywater, a Species at Risk Biologist with the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve will discuss the 23 species at risk found in McKellar and provide information on identification and habitat. He will also suggest resources to help residents make informed decisions on how to conserve these important species and their habitat features.
“We’re excited about this opportunity to work with McKellar,” Bywater commented. “We look forward to discussing the species at risk found in the township and identifying resources and practices to conserve these species.”
The open forum being held at 10:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers is free to the public. Donations to the Biosphere – a world heritage site – are appreciated.
