A special song for Rachel Higgins

Erin Axt, left, Rachel's mother Joanne Higgins, ce.

The loving memory of Rachel Anne Cecilia Higgins was ringing musically through the Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts last Saturday as family and friends came out to purchase the single, A Dance for RACH, recorded for the local young women who lost her three-year battle with a rare brain tumour in August. Erin Axt, Rachel's mother Joanne Higgins, and Sally Weeks sold 23 CDs and raised $115 for the Rallying Against Cancer Hardcore Foundation. To date, the foundation has raised over $80,000 for brain tumour research at the Princess Margaret Hospital. The $5 CD is available at K2 Clothing.
