Students at Macaulay Public School saw a different side of their principal Friday morning - the Justin Bieber side.
Peter Edwards, principal for the school, surprised students when they came to an assembly Friday morning to see their principal dressed as the Biebs on stage, with dark sunglasses, a white T-shirt, black jacket and jeans.
With some dance choreography help from a local dance studio, Edwards and several teachers lip-synched and danced across the stage to Bieber’s song, As Long as You Love Me.
Earlier this year, the students brought in toonies for the Terry Fox Foundation and were promised that the principal would do “something” if they raised more than $600.
The students were held in suspense until Edwards took the stage at Friday morning’s assembly.
The school reports the show was a success, but has not confirmed if Edwards will recreate his Bieber character for other shows in the future.
